1. Immigration: before entering the public arrivals hall

• Complete applicable quarantine/declarations → immigration → baggage claim → customs → arrivals.[1]
• Report missing or damaged baggage to the airline desk before leaving the controlled baggage area.
• Keep your passport, boarding pass, and baggage tag accessible until every issue is resolved.

2. Connectivity: test before leaving the counter
• Use free airport Wi-Fi to save screenshots of the Korean hotel address, booking number, last check-in time, and route.
• For eSIM, confirm an unlocked compatible phone, activation, and the required data-roaming setting.
• For physical SIM/pocket Wi-Fi, confirm the pickup desk and hours in your actual terminal. Not every counter is open 24 hours.[2]
• Open a map, send a message, and load a webpage before moving. Test calls/SMS only if included.
3. Payment: prepare only what the first ride needs
• Separate two overseas-enabled cards, small won, and the transit card.

• Overseas-card reload support is expanding through selected apps/kiosks, but it is not universal.

4. Transport: choose by address and luggage

5. Accommodation: close the first day safely
• Present passport and booking name; confirm deposit and payment terms.
• Confirm final check-in time, night entrance, emergency contact, and Wi-Fi.
• Prepare tomorrow's transit balance, charge phone/power bank, and save offline map/weather.
• If exhausted, locate only a nearby convenience store, meal, and ATM.
