Seventy Percent of U.S. Economists Expect September Rate Hold

In a Reuters poll, 70% of economists expected the Federal Reserve to hold rates in September. Markets were then pricing a 60% probability of a rate increase. The survey and market pricing therefore pointed in different directions.
