Uber to cut over 3,000 jobs in major global restructuring

Uber is cutting more than 3,000 jobs, roughly 10% of its global workforce, to reduce management layers and refocus spending on core operations. It plans to consolidate small teams and invest in autonomous-vehicle partnerships, ride-hailing, delivery and robotaxis; shares rose nearly 2% after the announcement.
